This term in English, Miss Pepper's Year 4s have been diving into the world of cinquain poems - a short, five-line poem with a unique syllable pattern: 2 syllables in the first line, 4 in the second, 6 in the third, 8 in the fourth, and 2 in the final line. Therefore, it's all about choosing words carefully and creatively! 

The children thoroughly enjoyed learning how to write poems with rhythm, structure, and imagination and they’ve each written their own.
