Year 5 & 6: Greek Vases
The Year 5s and 6s have been studying Ancient Greece and in art, we started by looking at Greek pottery.
The children considered examples of Greek vases and learned the names for some of the traditional shapes. They sketched out their own design before transferring it to clay-coloured paper:

Once the basic design was complete, we cut the vases out and mounted them onto a black background:
