Earlier this half term, 20 of our Year 5 children received an afternoon's play leader training. The aim of this was to equip these children with the skills and strategies to use when on the playground, in order to involve as many children as possible in physical activities. When being trained, the play leaders were attentive and showed great enthusiasm for the task as well as bringing some fresh ideas. This week, they started in their role with their brand new yellow bibs and can now be seen on the playground every lunchtime. Mrs John is already impressed with the positive effect they are having at lunchtimes on the playground.
