Year 2 Art: Wax resist pictures
The Year 2s have been looking at Food and Farming. In Art, we looked at aerial photographs of East Anglia and compared a number of contemporary paintings of farms.
The children planned the layout of their fields and used oil pastel for the crops. They then painted their picture and were amazed to see that the details they had drawn could still be seen.
Some children went on to create paintings inspired by the American folk artist, Warren Kimble.
